I am committed to the belief that artistic expression is an elemental impulse of human nature and essential to humanity. As a creative response, I am pulled toward the potency of awe and transformative spaces.
Read my artist’s statement
Seeking to explore new tangents for expression, in tandem with my work as a composer, I’ve recently re-embraced an earlier passion for sculptural spaces, to transition into an evolving multidisciplinary artistic practice. I am essentially drawn to materials and illumination that convey an ephemeral fluidity. Through spatial juxtapositions of balance, concealment, containment, and suspended motion – energetically charged relationships become emotionally animated.
In addition to concepts for stand-alone sculptures, my vision is to create large-scale experiential installations that resonate with my music to tap into a deep primal fluidity of subliminal connections and emotional responses. Through the combined qualities of illumination, kinetic components, video, and music, I am seeking to infuse a transformative energy into the spiritual and physical aspects of these immersive spaces.
I am excited to be moving in this new creative realm and am looking forward to being able to bring these concepts to full-scale, and hopefully, “awe-inspiring,” realization.
