Kinga Augustyn: Exposed. 20th & 21st Century solo violin, May 16th

April 8, 2019

Thursday, May 16 at 8pm, Queens New Music Festival: Kinga Augustyn: Exposed. 20th & 21st Century Unaccompanied Violin

Violin soloist Kinga Augustyn offers a demanding and evocative program of 20th and 21st Century works that push the boundaries of both instrument and player. Sparks fly when bow meets string in this extraordinary salon-style performance.
Kinga Augustyn is a Polish-born, New York City-based classical concert violinist and recording artist. She has been described as stylish and vibrant (The Strad Magazine), and beyond amazing, one hell of a violinist! (Fanfare Magazine).

The program includes works by New York Women Composers, Debra Kaye, Jessica Meyer, Kala Pierson and Rain Worthington’s An Evening Indigo and Frost Vapors.
Thursday, May 16 at 8pm, Queens New Music Festival, The Secret Theatre, 44-02 23rd Street, Long Island City, NY.
